Learn About The Owner/Operator of LJ’s Towing & Transport
I was born and raised on a farm just outside of Calgary, Alberta. Animals never really interested me. If you didn’t put fuel in it, it just wasn’t my kind of thing.
I did a few years apprenticing as a mechanic, then, I got into carpentry. One day at a coffee shop a friend offered to sell me his tow truck. That’s what started it all. In the years after that, I built the towing company up to 12 trucks in the city of Calgary. We ran out of Calgary for years.
However, I have always had a boat fascination. I love boats and still do. I used to come out to the Shuswap area of BC every summer for holidays. Eventually, I sold the company in Calgary and moved to Chase, BC. It was supposed to be a semi-retirement, but that didn’t work.
We transport carriers that haul cars from Calgary, Edmonton, all over the interior, and out to Vancouver. Because of my love for towing, I also have five local trucks and employ five people. I love my life here, and my job will be around for a long time.
